Dont be shy folks.
I would like to hear what people are doing for thier rides. I have a stock black 2003 C240 that I believe has never been waxed. Should I start off with a polish, then wax? What types are recommended or do you guys have best results with? |

Mark for your car I didn't see any big scratches in the clear or anything so I would first wash the car throughly get all the road grime and crap off it including the bottoms of the rockers. The after it's dry use a good quality wax.
If you can get 2 quality applicator pads use those along with a microfiber cloth for finishing (microfiber doesn't leave fine scratches in the clearcoat like a cotton rag does) If you have any questions where to get that stuff give me a call and I'll give you all the info. Thanks, -Mike |

Thanks Mike. There are two small areas with very minor scratches in the clear coat that I dont think I need to worry about right now, especially with winter coming so I will just give it a good hand wash and wax it up for now. Supposed to rain all day Saturday though this weekend

Wax Wise I use Meguiar's Gold Class(comes with applicator) and in between waxing use Meguiar's Quik Wax. I usually use a small buffer to put on the wax and take it off, and micro fiber cloths to get to areas i can't reach. the MF cloths i also wash after i run out of clean one.
I like the wax alot/brand and have been using it for years now, and lasts a good 2 weeks(beads water). tlovr out |

I've been using Mother's 3 Step - 1. Paint Cleaner 2. Synthetic Sealant Glaza and 3. Pure Carnuba Wax. It's basically a cheap way (i.e. Canadian Tire) of getting the Klasse Sealant and P12S look (expensive, harder to find). Pretty decent look. Very deep and liquid on a black or dark blue car.
Also, Meguiar's Quik Detailer Spray Wax is awesome for quick touch ups when you don't have time to break out all the gear. Just spray, wipe and that's it. |

I tried the Meguiars Gold Class paste wax http://www.meguiars.com/?paste-car-waxes/G...t-Car-Wax-Paste this weekend and I like the shine. Did it by hand (arm) and it wasnt too bad to buff up using microfiber cloths.
Also did the tires with the Meguiars Gold Class Endurance gel http://www.meguiars.com/?tire-care/Gold-Cl...Class-Endurance Did two coats and is looking good Washed the car first with Meguiars Gold Class carwash shampoo http://www.meguiars.com/?car-washes/Gold-C...poo-Conditioner and thier really soft brush http://www.meguiars.com/?car-washing-tools...ngle-Body-Brush Did a nice job leaving zero water spots after wiping down with the microfiber cloths |
